It is important that you read the following information about our wifi service. Your use of our wifi service constitutes your agreement to our terms and conditions of use.
- Our Wifi service is provided free of charge and we do not guarantee the availability, speed or stability of our Wifi service, nor are we responsible for slow response times, the non-availability of any web site or any other issue that interferes with your use of our Wifi service.
- Use of our Wifi service is entirely at your own risk and we do not accept any liability for any loss of any kind.
- To stay in line with current security best-practice, we cannot guarantee that our Wifi facility will be compatible with all devices or hardware (particularly devices over 5 years old).
- We cannot be held responsible for the privacy or security of your online activities and we strongly recommend the use of a personal firewall when transmitting confidential information (such as credit card details) over the Internet.
- You are responsible for using up to date antivirus and malware protection for your device and we are not responsible for the safety or security of your device when connected to our Wifi service.
- We can only provide limited technical assistance to you in relation to using our Wifi service.
- To reduce the risk of accessing inappropriate material we block certain websites and content using filtering software. However, we cannot guarantee that all unsuitable sites are blocked and ask that you close your browser immediately if you encounter any unsuitable content.
- If you find a site that has been inappropriately blocked (or one that you believe should be blocked) you can request that the site be changed by emailing itsupport@dibdenchurches.org with the URL of the site.
- You are strictly prohibited from using our Wifi service for any activity that: –
- is illegal under current law;
- could interfere with the integrity and/or performance of our Wifi, networks or equipment;
- is defamatory, threatening or intimidating or which could be considered as bullying or harassment;
- involves obscene, profane or abusive language;
- contains pornographic material whether in writing, pictures, films, video clips or other media;
- contains offensive material regarding gender, race, religion or any disability or sexual orientation;
- infringes third party rights;
- involves illegal access or downloading of copyright material;
- involves the sending of unsolicited (spam) emails;
- could be classified as internet abuse.
- We reserve the right to protect our network and systems by monitoring user activity (but not content) to: –
- ensure that the use of the Wifi is legitimate and in accordance with this policy;
- comply with any legal obligation;
- assist the police if any misuse represents a criminal offence.
- We reserve the right to immediately and without notice suspend access to the Wifi service for any device which is suspected of breaching these Terms and Conditions.
